The Bauhina Central reopened in 2025 after a 3-years refurbishment. A refresh of the building façade with the BIPV technology is applied to the building, and that is the first full-envelope BIPV hospital project in Hong Kong.

The Bauhinia Building's BIPV façade system can generate 24,271 kWh of electricity and 17,232 kg of carbon reduction per year.
